I have officially lost it.
As if writing copy for clients, maintaining 5 blogs and raising my family weren’t enough…
I’ve decided to devote the entire month of October to publish one post per day at TheSavvyFreelancer.com. Each day will build on the topic, “31 Days to Start a Freelancing Business.”
This idea was inspired by webinar participants and my Twitter friends who’ve been asking about a step-by-step guide to getting
started with freelancing. So I sat down and listed all the basic things I think a newbie freelancer should do.
But as I went through the list, I realized they were things I need to review or refine as my own freelancing business grows. So this series will not be for beginners only. Established freelancers who want to make their business better will also benefit from these
topics.
Each day, I will blog about one topic and one action point you have to complete for your freelancing business.
Topic will include:
- doing market research to find out what your target clients really want
- developing your service packages and determining your rates
- practical stuff, such as templates and management systems to make your freelancing life run more smoothly
- specific actions to find new clients
- building up your portfolio even if you’ve never had clients before
… and many more!
Don’t worry; if you can’t do one a day, you can always go at your own pace. Everything will be completed by October 31st.
So watch out tomorrow for Day 1 of “31 Days to Start a Freelancing Business” – or to make yours a better one.
Before you go, do let me know what specific topics you’d like to see in the next 31 days. I’ll make sure to include them.
PS: Know other freelancers who might benefit from the coming posts? Share this with them through Twitter, StumbleUpon or email. Thank you!
