Will The Real James Chartrand Please Speak Up?

Hide and Seek

Ever since James Chartrand admitted that he wears women’s underpants, I’ve been intrigued by his story.

But James has been in my radar, not only because of his underwear choices, but more importantly because:

- he’s a successful copywriter, which is what I’d like to be when I grow up

- his blog, MenWithPens.ca is one of the best blogs for freelancers out there, and is what TheSavvyFreelancer.com would want to be when it grows up

- he is one of the authors of “The Unlimited Freelancer,” the book I credit for helping me take my part-time freelancing biz to the next level

- despite his popularity, he’s always been gracious, appreciative and just plain nice on his blog, my blog, and on Twitter

So it comes as no surprise that I’m interviewing James in the next Savvy Freelancing Webinar.

I’m just shocked – I must have had my head stuck in my own little sandbox.

I can’t wait to learn more about her :)

I’m so glad I read your comment on MWP and followed over here to read about James’ underwear lmao Popped over to read about it–how cool! Only been following for a few months but love his writing…is there a recording of the interview? Would love to listen. Have to smile about the name….I dyed my hair–dark–2 years ago to escape from the blonde sterotype while trying desperately to land a job (it’s naturally light blonde) and there’s a big difference in how people react. Sad, really, but what the hell when you have bills to pay.

    Thanks for the smile!

Hey Elvis, we missed you! Glad you’re enjoying the webinars. I have more awesome stuff in store for you guys. I’m also enjoying Adobe Connect. I just have to make sure to do a dry-run with my speakers before the actual webinar, eh?

Thanks for the comment, Leah! How sad that you had to cover your blonde hair to be taken more seriously. I think blonde hair is very pretty and wish I could dye my hair blonde, but unfortunately it doesn’t go with my coloring at all.

It’s sad that humans judge each other by our appearance. It’s a reality of life that we all have to live with.

By the way, if you sign up for the webinars here: http://thesavvyfreelancer.com/marketing-webinar
